Engineers Without Borders envisions a world where all people benefit from the use of appropriate technologies for their development.

 

Mission

The missions of Engineers Without Borders are:

  • Promoting human development through access to technology
  • Share information and experiences that will improve science and technology initiative that are created to help aid poverty, alienation and lack of dialogue
  • Assist communities and improve their quality of life through the implementation of environmental, economically sustainable and socially adequate engineering projects
  • Develop partnerships and create relationships to facilitate exchanges between students and professionals in the field of engineering.

 

Objectives

The objectives of Engineers Without Borders are:

  • Coordinate technical students by developing exchanges between students and professionals by creating relationships between the various professionals and communities,
  • Create a platform for exchanges and transfer of scientific and technological information,
  • Assist the poor in identifying the technological needs and their role in the developmental process,
  • Enhance the local skills and technologies available to ensure sustainability and ownership of long term projects,
  • Support the transfer of appropriate technology to the people through training and communication opportunities,
  • Establish environmentally conscience, economically sustainable and socially adequate, engineering projects,
  • Support the dynamic actions of civil leaders promoting the ideas of Engineers Without Borders, and to create organized structures and provide the technical expertise needed to help these important leaders achieve their developmental goals.
